BOB FOSTER BOXING BASH

The First Annual Bob Foster Boxing Bash was held on July 15, 2005 at the Sheraton Old Town in Albuquerque in honor of New Mexico’s own hall-of-fame boxer, Bob Foster. 

Mr. Foster was honored with a private dinner attended by close friends and many of the rising stars of New Mexico boxing. This celebration was also held in recognition of the New Mexico legislature’s declaration of July 15th as “Bob Foster Day”. The legislation, sponsored by Rep. Hector H. Balderas, (D-Wagon Mound), was made in acknowledgement of Mr. Foster’s outstanding boxing career, and his service to the community as a law enforcement officer and as a boxing trainer.  (Click here for text of “Bob Foster Day” legislation).

The Second Annual Bob Foster Boxing Bash is currently being planned for July 14th and 15th, 2006.
